It’s been a long time ago but when I first started seeing this sign # in front of words I didn’t understand what I was reading or what was happening.

It wasn’t until I asked someone or I heard someone say it was a hashtag sign. I was like hashtag? No that’s not. That’s the pound sign. Ok, so what; yes, I did, I just showed my age.

But seriously, hashtag huh? So, I googled hashtag and this is what I found out.

Hashtag- is understandably popular on social media because it helps use search functions better, the real reason to use it is to give strong emphasis to a statement.

Yes it is very popular on social media, like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. That’s all you see is #this, #that, and I have seen it in people texts to one another too. They really want to get their point across and their feelings out about something.

Once I finally understood the last part of that definition that it gives a strong emphasis to a statement I was ####### all over the place myself.

So then I started thinking about Jesus and how we should hashtag about Him all over the place too.
We should begin to hashtag and emphasize in our statements how strong He is to us and how strong He can be to others that don’t know about Him and His greatness, His power, and His might. He’s a #GREATGOD!

Better yet, what hashtag would you use to get people to follow about Jesus? Here’s a few from me.

Standing Tall

God showed me a vision of my feet. They were steadfast and unmovable, feet that were planted in the ground, but raised up on a cinder block.  I could see myself looking at my feet (I was on the sideline in the dream).

I was praying, praising and worshipping God and my feet were stuck there, not moving they were firmly planted and I was saying God is my Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, He is my Elohim- my God-keeper of His Covenant, Preserver, and Creator.

God then brought to my remembrance two scripture references given to me at different times by two different people; and now brought together at such a time as this; the appointed time.

Psalm 37:23-25 (NIV)
The LORD makes firm the steps
    of the one who delights in him;
though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
    or their children begging bread.

I have to stand flat footed, deeply rooted in God’s word that He has given me, for me, at the right time and trust that I cannot be moved. I am standing tall (hence the cinder block) and though I may stumble trust that He’s got me with His right hand.
He’s always providing all that I and my seeds need.

He even reminds us in Proverbs 4:26-27 NLT
Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.
Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

Jesus, I thank you God, for your words speaking to me, for sending them to me through your messengers who didn’t even know that they had shared the same word.

I thank God for having us to have ears open to hear and listen to your word.

Thank you for your love God, your everlasting love.
Thank you for reading, be blessed, and please share.
